We’ve engineered the 2017 Ford Super Duty® to be the toughest, most capable, hardest- working Class 3-5 chassis cab we’ve ever built. The cab is made of high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy that’s lighter than steel yet incredibly strong. We took some of that weight savings and reinvested it where it counts the most in a work truck — in stronger axles, chassis and steering components, and an all-new fully boxed under-cab and C-channel aft-of-cab frame built of 95 percent high-strength steel. That means greater hauling and towing capability on the tough jobs you face every workday.

The 2017 Super Duty® Chassis Cab is the only truck in its class with a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy body. Aluminum alloy is lighter than the steel previously used, yet it's immensely strong. It's also more dent-and ding-resistant and not subject to red rust corrosion. Along with this lighter body, Super Duty Chassis Cab has a new fully boxed under-cab frame and a C-channel aft-of-cab frame, both built of 95 percent high-strength steel.

Not only did we make the frame of the 2017 Super Duty® much stronger than before. Axles, suspension, brakes, driveline and transfer case are larger and heftier for greater strength and capability. More than ever, our Super Duty line of chassis cabs is up to the task of taking on the toughest jobs in the most demanding industries.

It’s also our smartest Super Duty ever, making life for you on the job easier and more comfortable with its redesigned cab, improved suspension, and a host of new productivity features. 2017 Super Duty can also help enhance your bottom line from the outset by helping upfitters get your vehicle body completed and on the job as quickly as possible.

Standard factory-installed auxiliary upfitter switches now total six (up from four). The system includes two 40-amp switches (ignition on or off) plus four 25-amp switches (ignition on). What’s more, the switches with fuses and associated relays are integrated into the new overhead console/storage compartment. Upfitter switches are a convenient way to connect a variety of aftermarket accessories (such as a winch, lights, strobes, 2-way radio) to the vehicle’s electrical system. Because they’re factory-installed, there’s no need to cut into the truck’s electrical system when installing accessories. Convenient, easy to use, and reliable.

You’d think at least a few sacrifices would have to be made somewhere in a truck with as many improvements in performance, payload and towing as the all-new Super Duty® Chassis Cab has. A stiffer, less comfortable ride possibly? To the contrary, ride comfort and steering are improved as well, with the all-new fully boxed under-cab steel frame, redesigned C-channel aft-of-cab frame, upgraded suspension components and steering system.

The Ford Super Duty® is well known for providing excellent comfort over long hours spent at the wheel every workday. It’s a reputation that will certainly grow with the all-new interior of the 2017 model. Standard upfitter switches now total six in an overhead console. There’s available rear under-seat storage in the SuperCab and a fold-flat/locking load floor in the Crew Cab. And among the new available features are a modified sine 110V/400W AC power outlet, Rear View Camera Prep Kit, inflatable rear outboard safety belts (Crew Cab), and enhanced SYNC® 3 connectivity system.
